Story: Detective Kenichi Itami (Kazuhisa Kawahara) from the The National Police Agency and Akira Iwatsuki (Kei Tanaka) from the cyber investigation team investigate a complex murder case. The victim was under investigation by the cyber investigation team. As Detective Kenichi Itami and Akira Iwatsuki delve deeper into the case, pressure from around makes their investigation even more difficult. Secretly, a national financial doomsday scenario is carried out under the plan of "X Day".

Eiga.com is reporting that a new spin-off movie of the popular Aibou (Partners) series titled Aibou Series: X Day is in the works.

In 2009, Partners supporting character Mamoru Yonezawa (Seiji Rokkaku) got his own spin-off movie titled Partners: CSI Files. X Day will feature Metropolitan Police Department criminal investigator Kenichi Itami (Kazuhisa Kawahara) and cyber crime specialist Akira Iwatsuki (Kei Tanaka) in a brand new partnership.

In 2008, the first Partners movie, starring Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki, built on the success of TV Asahi’s long-running TV drama by earning 4.44 billion yen at the box office.

In 2010, Mitsuhiro Oikawa teamed up with Mizutani for Partners: The Movie II which earned 3.17 billion yen.

Series 10 of the drama ended in March, and marked the end of Oikawa’s run.

The new movie will be directed by Hajime Hashimoto with a screenplay by Takeharu Sakurai, both of whom work on the TV drama.

Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2: Kokoro no Tomodachi "Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2: Friends of the Heart" is the fifth of the Pretty Cure All Stars crossover movie series featuring all current Pretty Cure characters. It is set to be released in theaters in Japan on March 16 2013. The Doki Doki! Pretty Cure characters will make their movie debut as well.

Story: One day, the Pretty Cure receive an invitation to a party in honor of Pretty Cure. Everyone is heading to the party venue, school of fairies, but awaits a mysterious shadow. The shadow steals their transformation objects'! What can they do? If the Pretty Cure can not be converted are in big trouble! If this continues, the school, our world and everything else will deborado by that shadow! The 32 Pretty Cure fight to protect everyone!

Pretty Cure All Stars or PreCure All Stars is a series of Japanese anime films produced by Toei Animation based on Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure television anime franchise. Each movie features a storyline which crosses over characters from all the Pretty Cure anime series to date. As of March 2013, there are currently five main films in the series.

In each movie, which is generally released short after a new Pretty Cure television series premieres, the most recent sets of Pretty Cures will often act as the main protagonists of the crossover. In the opening scenes of each movie, a running gag occurs, in which that all of the most recent sets of Pretty Cures bump into each other by accident.

Each movie makes the use of Miracle Lights, a small flashlight handed out to audience members during screenings, with the finale encouraging viewers to wave their lights to support the PreCures in defeating the main antagonist. These lights have also been made available for certain movies based on individual series.

Platina Data (Platinum Data) is an upcoming Japanese movie directed by Keishi Otomo and based on a novel by Keigo Higashino. It will be released by Toho in Japan on March 16, 2013.

Story: Set in the year 2017, the Japanese government attempts to secretly control the DNA of its people. Ryuhei Kagura (Kazunari Ninomiya) is a top scientist in the field of DNA analysis. He works at the DNA analysis institution run by the National Police Agency.

When the inventor of the DNA analysis system is murdered, Ryuhei Kagura's own DNA is found at the murder scene. Ryuhei Kagura becomes the prime suspect and then he becomes a fugitive. Veteran detective Reiji Asama goes in pursuit.
